Employees at Zignego Co. of Waukesha gave more money than any other road builder in the state this year, pouring $20,300 into Walker's campaign.
Michael Zignego, the firm's secretary/treasurer, said some road builders give money to look good to potential officeholders. But Zignego said his family backed Walker in a big way because of his strong stance opposing abortion rights.
"The fact that he's pro-roads is all the more reason to support him," Zignego said. "But if he was pro-roads but not pro-life, we wouldn't have supported him."Yah, well, Michael Zignego is right on this one. Walker's pro-life stance is far more influential to that family than his "repair and build roads" orientation. And anyone who looks through the records can figure that out.
