Porkulus Spending

Jim Sensenbrenner visited with Jay Weber this morning.

During the conversation, Sensenbrenner mentioned that only EIGHT PERCENT of Porkulus money went to "shovel-ready" projects--that is, projects which utilized private industry to do actual work.

So.

Tax cuts, unemployment insurance extensions and aid to state government budgets.

For better or for worse. There's where you'll find it.

Hate to beat a dead horse but as I've been saying for the past year, the stimulus package contains minimal direct government spending for infrastructure improvements. That's been it's flaw since the package was passed. That, and the thing is too small.
