He Said 'If You Elect Me the Seas Will Stop Rising'

And he was right, according to IPCC.

The study was retracted because of errors discovered*, but no mention of which way the revamped study might point. For all we know, the corrected model may suggest HIGHER sea levels.

*That is how science is supposed to work, by the way.

So you’re saying the science is settled unless the science you believe in needs more settling?

To further Terry's point:

Slimjim, at what point should we stop analyzing the data and start acting on it? Clearly, all of these errors might affect our actions however just a few short months ago we were told to ACT IMMEDIATELY. Now that we continue to find flaws on your side of science, should we back up and start over? Or would that not be conducive to your beliefs?

You can correct models all day long, and they will still not replicate reality. There are so many variables involved in attempting to predict *anything* involving Earth processes that the program can't be written that can take them into consideration -- biggest problem is that we don't even *know* all the factors involved, nor the extent of their effect, and any "climatologist" who tells you otherwise is lying.
