Gov. Jim Doyle's office has announced the resignation of Chandra Miller Fienen as an adviser to the governor, after publicity over a controversy over her legal credentials.
"She realizes that she has placed this office in a difficult position," Lee Sensenbrenner, an aide to Doyle, said in an e-mail. "Her resignation has been accepted and is effective today."
Nothing about a refund for the ill-gotten salary.
