Bp. Vigneron Returns to Motor City

Interesting turn.

Mgr. Vigneron was the much-celebrated Rector of Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, and was appointed to Oakland, CA. as the Archbishop.

Now he will return to Detroit.

A friend and very astute Church musician served as the music-guy at Sacred Heart during Vigneron's time as Rector (training the seminarians in CHANT and sacred music principles, as well as handling music requirements for the Seminary) and was extremely enthused over Mgr. Vigneron's orthodoxy and understanding of music in the Liturgy.

The Midwest is strengthened!

And the west is even more fatally weakened.

I dunno about that, Father. Sacramento has a fine new bishop, and the latest appointments seem to be spot-on. We'll see who next occupies the see of Oakland...you could be pleasantly surprised.
