Catholic Charites: Still Crazy After All These Years

Seems that the USCC's "Catholic Charities" guys don't get it.

The 2007 grantees include ACORN (search "Association" for the disappointing reality.)

Boston, $25,000.00
Hawaii, $30,000.00
San Francisco, $30,000.00
San Mateo, $35,000.00
San Bernardino, $30,000.00
Oakland, $30,000.00
Fresno, $30,000.00
Houston, $25,000.00
Fort Worth, $25,000.00
El Paso, $25,000.00
Irving, $25,000.00
New Mexico, $25,000.00
Little Rock, $25,000.00
Tucson, $20,000.00
Phoenix $30,000.00
Phoenix $30,000.00 (yes, there were two different ACORN organizations, each getting a grant.)
Indianapolis, $35,000.00
Raleigh, $25,000.00
Mississippi, $30,000.00
New Orleans, $30,000.00
**Baton Rouge** Louisiana IAF (!!!) $30,000.00
Atlanta, $25,000.00
Orlando, $30,000.00
Miami, $25,000.00
Miami, $25,000.00 (yes, there were two different ACORN organizations, each getting a grant.)
Birmingham, $25,000.00
Pittsburgh, $25,000.00
Harrisburg, $25,000.00
Allentown, $25,000.00
Columbus, $25,000.00
Cleveland, $30,000.00
Cincinnatti, $25,000.00
Metuchen, $25,000.00
Grand Rapids, $25,000.00
Wilmington (DE) $25,000.00
Providence $25,000.00

All told, $945,000.00 (including the Marxist/Alinsky IAF)

NINE HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO ACORN LAST YEAR!!

You can call this anything you like, (and I'm sure that USCC/Catholic Charities has an explanation.) Just remember: money is fungible.

I'm sure that the Catholic Bishops are not interested in supporting an organization which is undermining democracy in several States.

Aren't you?

This is why I don't donate to the bishops or anything that does not go directly to my church. Same with Untied Way and other so called charities. I'd rather donate my time.

Don't know whether to be disgusted by this obscene waste of nearly $1 million or relieved by the fact that there were no grants for Iowa.
