Miscellaneous Palin Factology

Peg Noonan and the LoonyTune Left may not like it, but here are some facts.

Question: What is America's first line of missile interceptor defense that protects the entire United States ?

Answer: 49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard.

Question: What is the ONLY National Guard unit on permanent active duty?

Answer: 49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard

Question: Who is the Commander in Chief of the 49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard?

Answer: Governor Sarah Palin, of Alaska

Question: What U.S. governor is routinely briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism?

Answer: Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska

Question: What U.S. governor has a higher classified security rating than either candidate of the Democrat Party?

Answer: Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets. She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

However, Joe Biden has patrolled the aisles of his local Home Depot, and Obamamamamama is keeping his eyes on Hyde Park security issues--like Bill Ayers.

I've got a bridge to sell you cheap, DaddyZero. The woman is an intellectual cipher. Actually, comparing her to a cipher defames the cipher.

That response doesn't exactly put you in Mensa, pal.

Does this explain why she wasn't invited into security talks with Gates and Rice? Your post does not jive with reality.

Oh, the bitterness of the left. today, Biden was in Las Vegas and only drew 3800 people. Palin comes to Vegas on Monday or Tuesday. Any one wanna bet she outdraws Biden?
Anyone who thinks Biden is smarter than Palin is delusional, mentally ill and just plain stupid, just like Joe.

Because the only people briefed were members of Congress and the White House. Last time I looked, a sitting governor is not a member of Congress.

Speaking of security clearances, could Obama get one if he went through the usual process? The article says there is no possibility the government would award a TOP SECRET clerance to someone with his connections.

Having been through the process myself, I'm inclined to agree -- the TS investigators are fine-tooth-comb guys. Everything has to be accounted for in great detail. My wife had a dispute with Bally's fitness over a $300 bill, many years before the clearance check and several years before she and I were married. They still wanted to know the details about how it happened. It was a tiny sum of money, years in the past, and it was never my bill anyway: but I had to account for it.

Apparently if you get elected to the Senate, you're given a SECRET level clearance without any investigation; and if you win the Presidency, of course, you have access to everything. Perhaps the concept is that the media vet such candidates so thoroughly that there is no need for the usual process. This has been an unusual year in that regard.
