The Pubbies demonstrate that they understand how to budget FOR taxpayers, not AGAINST them.
Assembly Republicans are poised to pass a version of the state budget that would:
• Block $1.1 billion in tax increases on oil companies, hospitals and smokers backed by Democrats.
• Cut yearly aid to Milwaukee by $28.7 million in 2009.
• Create tax cuts but stop single people younger than 65 from qualifying for the Homestead Tax Credit.
• Expand the school choice program to Racine County and parts of Milwaukee County outside the City of Milwaukee.
• Eliminate the Chapter 220 school integration program by the fall of 2015.
...and those are just the 'header' items from the JS report.
Thanks!!
