President Donald Trump Trump went to "extraordinary lengths" to keep details from his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin secret – even from officials within his own administration, The Washington Post reported this weekend, citing unnamed sources.

After meeting with Putin at the 2017 Group of 20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, Trump took his interpreter's notes and told him not to discuss the meeting with anyone, including other U.S. officials, the Post reported....

And on, and on, and on, into the night.....

Here's a question:  SO WHAT????? 

Here's another question:  did any other President, ever, do anything like this?  Ever??

The Core of Francis-ism

I think that RR Reno has it nailed here.

...I’m familiar with a pastoral approach that treats disruption and rule-breaking as a spiritual tonic. Many Jesuits I knew were “liberal” in style and rhetoric. But I came to see that this was not always out of conviction. It was a tactic, a posture meant to enhance their evangelical effectiveness. Breaking rules and adopting heterodox views puts people at ease, they thought. It opens up space for the Holy Spirit, getting people onto the “ladder of love” that brings them into the Church.

This is not a crazy approach. In some circumstances, it works. As St. Paul said, “I have become all things to all people,” suggesting a mobile strategy for the proclamation of Christ crucified. This Jesuit adoption of multiple, even contradictory ecclesial masks helps us understand why Pope Francis can tack so quickly from “liberal” to “conservative” positions, suggesting a relaxation of the Church’s judgments about sexual morality (“Who am I to judge?”), while at the same time making striking statements about the unfitness of homosexual men for the priesthood. This approach coheres, moreover, with the Peronist tradition that seeks to transcend ideology in the service of the people. A true Peronist is left-wing—except when he is right-wing.

However.....

This does not work as a general strategy for the Church. The Francis mode of improvisation depends on the underlying stability of the tradition for its effectiveness. If the Church becomes the agent of her own disruption and rule-breaking becomes the rule, then Jesuit freelancing tactics lose their spiritual effectiveness. They become, instead, futile gestures in an atmosphere of disorder and confusion. This, I fear, is the effect of the Francis pontificate. He’s like the Baby Boomer who can’t understand why the kids aren’t inspired by his now clichéd and conventional unconventionality. “You shoulda been at Woodstock . . .”...

In other words, Pp. Francis does not understand his position:  Pope.  His munus is legislator and judge, not just 'missionary.'  He has not grown into his "real job;" he has simply transferred his old techniques to the new house.

That won't work.

When Jayme Closs showed up at their doorstep, the Kasinskas family sprung into action, taking two steps before most anything else. They called 911. And they grabbed their firearms, in case the kidnapped teen's abductor was in pursuit....

Jesuit Who Is Smarter Than St Paul

I know.  This is rather like shooting fish in a barrel.

Jesuits, homosexualists, Oh-So-Superiorists....  you get the idea.  Jos. Sciambra actually begins his post with a horrifying bit about Seattle U's (Jesuit school) annual drag-show featuring the women's rugby team (apparently nicknamed "The Seattle Twerkers" or something.)

Then he moves on to the Vice That Dares Not Speak Its Name, But Jesuits Shout It!!--the favorite vice of a lot of current Bishops and priests:

Whitney was also the former Provincial for The Society of Jesus, Oregon Province. In 2011, the Oregon Province settled priest sex abuse claims for $166 million as part of their bankruptcy proceedings....

Why yes, of course.  "Ritualized" anal intercourse is much, much, different from "loving" anal intercourse, you see.   And St. Paul, a "man of his times", was ignorant about that difference, and probably just ignorant altogether. See, 'man of his times' means 'kinda dumb,' even if you are talking about Christ.

It is only now, in the 21st Century, that Man Has Progressed To Intellectual Heights!  Just ask Teilhard deChardin.  Or any homosexualist Jesuit, Cardinal, or Bishop.

The tragedies of the Wall saga....

...The association that represents thousands of FBI agents warned Thursday that a partial government shutdown could cause laboratory delays, reduce money for investigations and make it harder to recruit and retain agents.

The FBI Agents Association sent a petition to the White House and congressional leaders encouraging them to fund the FBI immediately. Friday will be the first day that the nearly 13,000 special agents will miss their paychecks.

"This is not about political for special agents. For special agents, financial security is national security," Tom O'Connor, the association's president, told reporters in a conference call.

Nearly 5,000 special agents, intelligence analysts and other staff are currently furloughed. Those absences mean FBI operations are understaffed and subject to delays, including at the FBI lab. And the lapse means fewer tools, such as informants or undercover operations, are available for investigations....

Given what we know about the FBI, ...........let's put it this way:  good riddance.

Vos 'Open' to Ending Civil Rights

Wispolitics.com reported Monday that Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos said he was "open to the idea" of the "red flag" law in Wisconsin but was concerned about the scope being too broad.

We expect civil rights and Constitutional violations from Democrats, of course:

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is joining with fellow Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul in supporting a law allowing judges to take away firearms from people determined to be a threat to themselves or others.

"Determined"........"a threat"......

Like, for example, aliens crossing the US border?  Well, if you don't like vague language about border-crossers, why in Hell do you like it about your neighbors?

Why are these matters and issues a preserve of the FedGov?  Why not the States?  

We will concede that only the FedGov can issue FHA loan approvals.  Fine.  

But is the FedGov's approval REALLY necessary for proposed beer-labels?  Is the FedGov the only agency who can be trusted to check weights-and-measures?  The only one capable of inspecting meats?

Every time you read another story about The End Of The World Is Upon Us, think:  who else could do that job well, and why aren't they doing it?

Echoes of Carlson: Zmirak

The Tucker Carlson attack on America's economic structure has generated a number of follow-on essays.  Zmirak makes a contribution which is very significant and which will be reviled and spat-upon by the usual suspects (I will say it out loud):  communists disguised as 'egalitarians' and 'women's rights' advocates.  Yes, it's Marxist analysis (money, money, money), and the 1964-model Republicans (now led by Mitt Romney and his ilk) swallowed the bait because they are The Stupid Party.

All we ever hear about is "wind chill", since there is 1) wind, and 2) cold temperatures.

But "wind chill" is dangerous ONLY IF you are standing around outside without any clothes on.

Normal people wear winter clothing during winter and--if they have an IQ above their age--stand facing away from the breeze.

Weather people on TeeVee either are not that bright, or are trying to get more advertising dollars....

If  you're stupid enough to miss the obvious, here's the obvious:  Trump listed murders committed by undocumented immigrants.  Did I mention that CNN lies more frequently than the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel?  No, because like the 'lower crime rate' clause above it does NOT diminish the truth of what Trump said.

...He said drugs were pouring across the southern border without mentioning that the vast majority cross through ports of entry, not the vast stretches in between where he wants to erect his wall....

Well, ARE 'drugs pouring across the southern border'?  Yes, yes indeed!!  And putting up a wall will force more of them through POE's, thus allowing more seizures--exactly what the American public expects from law enforcement.

...Schumer and other Democrats voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, but that law funded about 700 miles of fencing, not a wall to span the entire 2,000-mile border. ...

Trump never asked for 2,000 miles of wall; he's asking for about 1,000 miles or a little less.  Another case of the misstatements and exaggerations of the Press Most Foul.

Utah's US Atty Huber: "The Fixer"

Jeff Sessions had a reputation for being an honest man.  While that may be true, it's more and more clear that Sessions was pretty damn dumb.

First, he allowed himself to be bamboozled into recusal from the Mueller "investigation."  Then he allowed most of the corruptocrats at Justice to remain on the payroll.  And he also appointed some dude named Huber to "investigate" the Uranium One deal.  That's the deal whereby Hillary/Obozo permitted the Russians to purchase 25% of the US' entire supply of uranium.

Hillary's "foundation" got $31 million on delivery, with another $100 million promised.

Now we learn a bit more about Sessions' appointment:

...Upon hearing of Huber’s appointment, a retired FBI Agent in Utah told us that “Huber is a fixer,” suggesting that nothing would happen with him in charge of the investigation. So far, that prediction is accurate. Huber has yet to even interview Campbell. In depth investigation, not....

So the Boy Scout, Sessions, has managed to demolish the reputation(s) of the FBI and DoJ; allowed the largest criminal conspiracy in political history to go un-punished (the Clinton Crime Syndicate); and the Russians walk away with the uranium.  And by the way, Mueller and his bunch of rabid dogs are banking about $2 million/month.

Small wonder that nobody in the Real World trusts anybody in D.C., eh?

Will California Be Destroyed By the Jesuits?

It won't be long before the State of California drowns itself in debt resulting from quasi-Socialist governance and insanely expensive transit projects.  It certainly will not drown in water for agricultural purposes; all that water is diverted to the ocean through some sort of fish-habitat.

Anyhow.

California's last Governor is an ex-Jesuit.  He didn't survive through ordination as a priest, but was in the seminary for a while.  The current Governor is a product of Jesuit college.

So.........can the Jesuits destroy what the Franciscans built?  Stay tuned!!!
