Credit Where It's Due: Mayor Johnson

Johnson's decision on I-794 makes sense.

Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson recommended on Wednesday, July 8, that the elevated portion of Interstate-794 between downtown and the Historic Third Ward be improved. He said while there are benefits to tearing the freeway segment down entirely, "the negative consequences of doing so became apparent upon more detailed analysis," the mayor said. ...

The Progressive (Dope-Smoking Hippie) bunch is now, and ever shall be, against automobiles.  When you have a car, they cannot control your range of mobility and motion.  The same principle applies to transport routes:  convenience and speed must be quashed, because that allows too much individuality.

Thus their inane pressure for the Massive MoneyLoser "Hop" and the Madistan-MKE Choo-Choo.

Johnson's move here took some courage.  He deserves credit.

Did someone give him a history lesson of the historic backups when they put one to few lanes in the last time they redid 794? They figured out how to add a lane when they saw the crowd heading for city hall with pitchforks and torches.
