Lots of yapping today about Heritage Foundation staffers bailing out and going to a Mike Pence outfit.
Notably, most of the coverage focuses on the "anti-Semitism" foo-foo dust pushed by the likes of "Jerusalem First" Benny Shapiro and "Tel Aviv" Mark Levin, not to mention AIPAC. That is the narrative they prefer.
But that's not the real story. In reality:
...Chapman [one of the quitters] said the ordeal pushed a large group of Heritage employees who had been eyeing the exit doors to cement their decisions to leave.
"We were approached by a lot of the leadership of the three different institutes three or four weeks ago, and they told us that they and their teams were already at the point where they were ready to leave the Heritage Foundation, but that Tucker Carlson stuff and Nick Fuentes stuff was sort of the straw that broke the camel's back," the AAF president told reporters. "I think the infamous video really put everyone over the edge."...
The President of Heritage, Roberts, was betrayed by his assistant who wrote Roberts' speech on the Tucker/Fuentes interview. After the ululations from the (already-departing) staffers, Roberts honorably refused to throw Tucker under the bus by cancelling him.
Honor is not honored by Certain People, as Roberts is learning.
Mike Pence is as greasy a politician as ever existed. He betrayed the families of Indiana with his gay "marriage" crapola, and betrayed Donald Trump while being #2 in Trump's Administration.
If that's the kind of guy those staffers want to work for, Heritage and Roberts actually won.
