St. Thomas More, Found in Thucydides

VDH provides a wonderful quote from Thucydides, later echoed by St Thomas More:

Indeed, men too often take upon themselves in the prosecution of their revenge to set the example of doing away with those general laws to which alike can look for salvation in adversity, instead of allowing them to subsist against the day of danger when their aid may be required.” —Thucydides...

Yah, well.  That doesn't make lawyers any less a suspect class.

Moving on.....

He demonstrates the difference between the Democrat-Socialist Left (yes, they are ALL Democrat-Socialist Lefties) and the Right, which is the clear majority, following the Floyd death and the 1/6 disturbance.

Then:

As a result, sometimes “dark money” cabals and “unfolding” conspiracies of “powerful people,” who vow to rid the world of Trump, successfully can and should “change rules and laws” and again “control the flow of information” and modulate “protests” and coordinate private enterprise “ resistance.”...

VDH implies, but does not predict, a revolt from the Right Majority, hoping that the Right Majority will side with More and Thucydides.
