This video report is a study in 'manipulating the viewer.'
The reporter posed in front of Children's Hospital. Most people are far more sympathetic to patients in Children's than in 'regular' hospitals.
Second, the "demand for more money" is being made by a nurse at Meriter hospital--which is in Madison, not Milwaukee.
Third, you don't find out this is a union demand until 1 minute into the video--and you have to be looking to see it. The close-up on the union agitator almost blocks out the "union" sign in the background.
As to the substance?
If nurses think they deserve extra money above/beyond their $70K/year +++ earnings, they should negotiate with the hospitals they work for. This is NOT something the State of Wisconsin taxpayer should be granting.
Remember, too, that Robyn Vining is a radical-Left leggie. She wants re-election, and Da Union is the way for her to get it.
Perhaps Channel 6 will adjust its news-department policies to present the stories 'straight up.' But maybe not. Caveat emptor!
