While Evers parrots the Party Line on 'background checks' and 'red flag,' Wisconsin citizens have no use for that crap.
...A Marquette Law School Poll found that 81 percent of participants support requiring red flag laws and background checks for private gun sales and sales at gun shows.
However, poll director Charles Franklin says 62 percent of participants think that if those laws were passed, it would make little to no difference in the effort to prevent mass shootings....
That 62% understands very well that it ain't the gun that causes trouble.
Pubbies must make it clear that Wisconsin has a very comprehensive and fair "red flag" law in place; it's called Chapter 51 in the statutes. They also should make clear--repeatedly--that giving your child a .22 caliber rifle for Christmas is NOT the business of Tony Evers.
