Hmmmm.
Over the last twenty years, gun homicide rates have fallen by 49%, and nonfatal firearm crime has fallen even more greatly....
Further,
...The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults,
robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent
non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also
is down markedly (72%) over two decades. ...
It would be even more interesting to find a study which demonstrates the co-incidence between "gun violence" and "drug gangs". The way I hear it from the thin-blue-line people I know, that is the vast majority of the problem.

Now that only 30 percent of US citizens own guns, you'd expect to see some progress. As you auto-erotic gun geeks thin out, we can expect even more precipitous drops in gun violence stats.

Fantasize much or is it drug induced.
How are we doing on the suicide front? How about the 5 year-old kids accidentally killing their 3 year-old sisters? 2 year-olds killing themselves with uncle's guns?
Anon 12A: what does that have to do with the murder rate?
As to accidental deaths, I demand that you give up use of your cars. Turn in the keys. They're a danger to all humanity.
