Vos Wrong on Recall Changes

As one might expect, some Leggies are unhappy with the Wisconsin Constitution.

The day after hundreds of thousands of people jammed polling places across the state to cast their ballots in six state Senate recall elections, Republican State Rep. Robin Vos announces he's working to keep this from ever happening again.Vos is proposing on a constitutional amendment that would limit why a state lawmaker can be recalled.

Right now there doesn't need to be a reason, but Vos thinks it should only happen if a politician has been indicted, charged with a felony, convicted of a misdemeanor or violated the code of ethics."Recalls are supposed to be used in rare circumstances, when I believe someone broke the law or committed a crime in office," said Vos.

Let me get this straight.  In the opinion of a legislator, recalling legislators should NOT be the privilege of the electors.  In Vos' opinion, recalls should be "rare", and when HE believes that someone broke the law or committed a crime.

Hmmmmm.  How about when a Leggie 'breaks faith' with his electors (you know, his employers), like Petak, who sold out Racine County to "Stick-It-To'Em" and his lawyer crony and Bud Selig?

Or doesn't "breaking faith" make it to the top of the totem, Robin?

I smell "ruling class" and it stinks.  Dump the idea now, Robin.

Recall: any time, any reason.

I agree. While I think the left over reached in their anger, and will foolishly continue with their attempt to recall Walker, Vos is wrong. I was pondering his idea before I read this, but came to the conclusion that it'd be wrong. Of course, my opinion may change if the recalls get abused. The democrats should be very careful. they've opened a Pandora's box here.
