Milwaukee Historical Note

I didn't know this, and I don't think John Gurda knew it, either.

As far as he knows this is the only extant work or the artist, who was the director of Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City around the turn of the last century. It was commissioned by members of the Miller brewing family, who were Catholics and devoted to the Sacred Heart and completed in 1896.

The picture, of the Sacred Heart, is available at the link.

It is still the case that Harry John was robbed (legally, of course) in his final hours here on Earth.  And I don't care HOW big the "legal-name" attached to the documents, or HOW big the "legal family" from which that attorney sprang.
