There's a good reason that you haven't heard about the national-debt limit negotiations.
The American public...has not been allowed to watch these negotiations.
The negotiations include Biden, Senators Jon Kyl (R.-Ariz.), Max Baucus (D.-Mont.) and Daniel Inouye (D.-Hawaii), and House members Eric Cantor (R.-Va.), Jim Clyburn (D.-S.C.) and Chris Van Hollen (D.-Md.). It is widely expected that if these members do cut a deal, they will release the details close to the Aug. 2 deadline.
Meaning that the public's "input", if any, will be useless--and most likely ignored.
We're back to standard operating procedure, whereby you are expected to STFU and pay.

Why don't you march on back to DC and demand a seat at the table. I'm sure they'd enjoy listening to your conspiracy theories.
So it's a bad thing when the public is ignored? What about when elected officials are ignored and not allowed to speak?
