It was noticed that absolutely not one reporter had ANY questions about the Wisconsin situation. None. Zero. Zip.
Roeser was right, and Obozo's polls are telling him that. Wisconsin is a loser for the (D)/Big Labor/PEU axis, which is why the topic was verboten in the presser.
Anyhooo, to make up for that, Obozo simply lied about oil production.
So the fact that there is an “all-time high” number of rigs in the Gulf ignores the fact that most of those rigs are not working.
More:
“We can’t escape the fact that we control only 2% of the world’s oil.”
Actually, the shale-reserves ALONE constitute 300% of Saudi Arabia's proven reserves.
“Industry holds leases on tens of millions of acres both offshore and on land where they aren’t producing a thing.”
Clintonesque!
A lease is for exploration and production, not just production, and because oil is not equally distributed across the globe, one parcel of leased acreage may not hold any oil.
“Last year…our oil production reached its highest level in 7 years.”
This is pure spin.
That's "last year" because the results are due to the Bush Administration.
Next year will be different:
...the Energy Information Administration projects that there will be a decline in production of 220,000 barrels of domestic oil per day in 2011, and in 2012 America will produce 150 million fewer barrels in the Gulf of Mexico, all because of President Obama’s policies to discourage or ban domestic drilling.
We'll give Obozo credit for this: he is doing exactly what he wants to do: starve the US petroleum consumer.
But starving people go to unusual lengths to find what they need.

Seems your link, Hot Air, is full of, well, hot air.
"While they sound great on paper, Ken [Salazar] was talking about the total number of oil rigs in the gulf, not the total amount of oil being produced."
But hot air bases this claim on a link to The Hill which quotes Salazar as saying:
“In 2009 there were 116 rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, in 2010 in February, 120, in February 2011, 126. You should ask the question, why is the number of rigs going up in the Gulf of Mexico?" Salazar said.
But then Salazar goes on to say:
“If you look at the production within the Gulf of Mexico, even in the midst of the national crisis of the Deepwater Horizon, the production has remained at an all-time high, and we expect that it will continue as we bring new production online.”
So the premise of your "lying machine" post is a FAIL.
Elementary, Jim (which reminds me: DID you pass through elementary school?)
See, the response to your "gotcha" happens to be in my post. It's in red!
Read for meaning and comprehension.
Nice try, Dad. You say the president lied, cited an article that falsely portrayed the basis for the president's words, then changed the subject to something completely different to try to nullify what I proved.
It's what we expect from Dad29, who also enables an anony hit and run poster to advocate sodomizing a political blogger (the liberal Capper). Dad29 has no conscience.
