The Best Thing to Happen to Oconomowoc Since Carnation

It's really good news:

The state Department of Transportation has dropped plans for a high-speed rail station in Oconomowoc, claiming city officials said they didn't want one.

Meantime, the Mayor of Brookfield dithers about, hoping that he won't actually have to make a decision. He's a lawyer. What more can you say?

Glad to see my hometown exercise a bit of common sense....for a change.

I used to live in Oconomowoc and the area they are talking about is just too small of an area to handle the traffic and parking.
But it looks like Cooney pissed of Doyle and they took away Cooney's little toy. Poor Cooney, dare to question Doyle.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Hardly anyone lives out there anyway. The people who do don't have a problem with a 40 minute commute now so why would they care about a 40 minute commute 10 years from now. Makes sense to me.
