Ever since that damnfool Tricky Dick established it, EPA has been an expensive and meddlesome pain filled with True Believer activists. While one might argue that EPA did some good things early on, one could ALSO argue that for the last 15 years, EPA has been the poster-child for the Law of Diminishing Returns.
Now, with a license issued by SCOTUS (another bad decision) EPA has declared before God and country that CO2 is a "pollutant." (You exhale it, by the way, making you a point-source of this Next Big Destruction of Mother Earth. Think about that...)
So a number of Senators, including (D) types from N & S Dakota and W VA, are pushing a resolution to cut EPA off at the knees on this issue.
However, Teh LightWorker needs a crisis for 2011 or 2012, so he will veto the resolution.
White House officials, citing the environmental damage caused by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, said the measure to overturn new EPA regulations would increase the nation’s dependence on oil and other fossil fuels and “block efforts to cut pollution that threatens our health and well-being.”
Does pure bullshit emit CO2?
(By the way, note the headline of the linked article which does NOT mention that the resolution is supported by (D) Senators. Probably just an accident, eh?)
