The Kind, Compassionate, Left

From New Orleans:

Two people at the Brennan’s event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say “Let’s get them, they have Palin pins on” – so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.

That followed the Republican dinner at Brennan's restaurant.

They're both hospitalized, but expected to fully recover--but Bautsch's leg was broken 'severely' in the melee.

Broken leg and broken jaw. WOW.

Here is an actual case of "hate" violence and the MSM is mum. Go figure.

Well, Jindal did warn folks to stay off Bourbon street.

Horrific incident. Prosecute the offenders to the fullest extent of the law.

But...no video proof or confirmation by others who have no axe to grind, just hear-say by members who attended. Could that change? Yes.

But...no direct evidence yet, just speculation, that the assault happened after a heated argument about Sarah Palin between the couple and the attackers. Could that change? Yes.

There is also the assumption that the individuals involved in the altercation were protestors. Do we know for certain their background?

So, the conservative blogosphere goes nuts repeating the same story from the same source (Free Republic)...without independent confirmation, just like liberal pundits. It's the same process that supposedly Dad29 says he disdains--a rush to judgment without specifics; a rush to link extremists at a demonstration as typical of ALL or MOST of a certain political group.

By the way, wasn't the crowd outside the Republican fundraising event also engaging in harsh behavior (e.g. foul language, pushing and shoving) similar to SOME Tea Party demonstrations?
So how is the behavior by liberal demonstrators different or "wrong" compared to conservative demonstrators?

Furthermore, why was there a three-day delay by the governor's office press secretary (NOT THE MEDIA) in releasing the fact that the couple were attacked outside of the event? The attack occurred on a Friday. The incident was reported Monday.

Michelle Malkin has confirmed there NO PALIN PINS were involved.

She says:
"But it looks like many of my readers need to be reminded of the dangers of recklessly jumping to conclusions before all the facts are in!"

Both the "mainstream media" and the "neo-con" media choose to over report and under report stories for their own benefit. Nothing new here!

Malkin reported her story at 3:15 p.m eastern time. Dad29, you posted at 4:15 p.m. central time. Same time. Is Malkin wrong?

Again, any attack by any group on any person, liberal or conservative, on a person/people, regardless if they minced words or "started it verbally", is cowardly.

What is more cowardly is for anyone to imply that ALL or MOST liberals are "grievance-mongers" who enjoy inflicting bodily harm on those who disagree with their positions. That's patently false.

I would like to know where the proof of the "foul language" and "shoving" is happening at Tea Party events by an actual Tea Party Protestor and not a Tea Party Crasher. And don't pretend, anony, you don't know who these Tea Party Crashers are what their agenda is. Where is the video proof? The actual non biased reporting????

If anything, the New Orleans beating gives the state of WI something to think about. Passing legislation allowing CCW.

You have your Tea Party protests which most, if not all, are at a rally where they voice their displeasure, most with tact, with others who have posters with overt or covert racist visuals and/or comments. To me, it is those particular protestors who, fairly or unfairly, harm the movement. Otherwise, there are no instances of verbal or physical confrontation. Why should there be? Everyone is on the same page.

You have your Tea Party protests in which there are a group of rabble rousers from the opposing side. Tensions run high.

So Tea Partiers have NOT engaged in verbal or physical confrontation as a result, either instigating it themselves or in acting self-defense???

That any report by the mainstream media indicating that Tea Partiers were involved in such conduct is stretching the truth or lying???

Regardless if there are "Tea Party Crashers", there is still violent clashes or the potential for violent clashes. There is still in some cases an underlying tone of racism. Don't come across as ignorant!

We will see April 15 with the scheduled events around the United States to what extent are the festivities peaceful.

I don't check Malkin's site every 20 minutes...and the posts were contemporaneous.

Gee. Political figures who lie. I'm shocked.

I sense a disturbing pattern here. Gleefully use links which condone hate (see Sarkozy site) and report baseless accusations, while admitting no culpability. Slumming with the liberals, eh?

Gee, bloggers who lie. I'm shocked.

So where did the MSM drievby pick up one of the latest shmear tactic reports on the "racist" Tea Party? THe Huffington Post. Oh, because the HP is biased or anything.
