The Obama administration's first move to regulate global warming gases will require new vehicles sold in 2016 to average at least 35 miles per gallon.
...Both cars and less fuel-efficient vehicles such as SUVs would have to meet tougher fuel economy standards. The standards announced Thursday would require that passenger cars average nearly 39 mpg by 2016, while light trucks would have to average nearly 29 mpg.
Briggs and Stratton will be very happy to hear this, as will makers of tinfoil.

It's so funny that you say buy a 2015 model, because I thought about this the other day and I know I'll be buying a 2015 model for sure.
