EPA CO2 Finding: The Green Breath of Economic Death

Just what the economy needs! A little more killing!

Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a formal endangerment finding on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses, claiming that such gases endanger human health and welfare. Thomas J. Pyle, president of the market-based Institute for Energy Research (IER), issued the following statement regarding EPA’s action:

...“Today’s announcement, however – known as an ‘endangerment finding’ – will force as many as 6 million buildings — including hospitals, schools, factories, and churches — to comply with the Clean Air Act, which carries permitting costs of up to $125,000 each...."

It's especially heartwarming to know that the finding was based on BS.

...besides all of the practical reasons to oppose the EPA decision, Inhofe pointed to another, even more basic reason why the decision is flawed - It's based on junk science:

"Lisa Jackson, Obama's EPA Administrator, admitted to me publicly that EPA based its action today in good measure on the findings of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC. She told me that EPA accepted those findings without any serious, independent analysis to see whether they were true."

With this aggrandizement of its powers, EPA can also shove its green breath into coal-mining and agriculture.
