Risser's going for the gold.
One month after turning 81, State Senate President Fred Risser (D-Madison) says he will seek re-election in November.
The longest-serving lawmaker in the nation, Risser said in a statement that there is "considerable unfinished businesses" that must be accomplished "if Wisconsin is to regain its reputation as a progressive and innovative state."
Of course, Freddie, some might think that your 1940's "thoughts" of "progress" are in fact retrograde.

Freddy's only "thoughts of progress" are how to raise taxes.
Doesn't say much for the voters who keep re-electing him, either.
