Sprach Bp. Sklba

Regarding his appearance at a Winter Solstice celebration held at Great Spirit parish, Bp. Sklba responds to an interlocutor.

It might be important for you to know that the ceremony used each year for their celebration of the Winter Solstice here in Milwaukee reflects virtually the same rituals used by Pope John Paul II when he visited the Native American peoples near Phoenix in 1987.

"...virtually the same rituals..."

It's always in the details, folks.

So by "reflects" he could mean everything was reversed, like in a mirror?

That would seem like a stretch, but I had a pastor, in the course of a homily, answer the question why our church lacked windows by saying our eyes were the windows. (Meaning, I suppose, that the eye is the window to the soul, the parishioners have eyes, therefore, the church has windows.)
