Illinois' War on Electricity

Why do WE care about the F.I.B.'s war on carbon-fueled electricity?

Because in about five years, Illinois will be sucking electricity out of Wisconsin.

...New York state’s tax policy is exiling millionaires to Florida. California’s craziness is banishing billionaires.

But Illinois has them beat with its climate change laws that are forcing two-thirds of an electric plant in Elwood to take the advice of Suzy Bogguss and drive South with the one they love.

Reddy Kilowatt packed its power plant and headed for Texas, which welcomes gas-powered electric plants. The company that owns two-thirds of that plant is hauling away the equipment that will generate 900 megawatts of power for Texans....

Estimates are that in five years, Illinois will be in need of that 900 MW.  Since a Chicago utility owns Wisconsin Electric, and since WE is part of MISO, which directs electricity to places in need.....

Oh, well.  There is some good news here.

Dairyland Power of LaCrosse bought the remaining one-third of the generating capacity of the plant.  But they will sell the power only to DOWNSTATE Illinois.  So it won't go to Chicago.

BTW, do you share our suspicion that the town in question was named for one of the Blues Brothers??

Evers' New "Anti-Semitism" Law

The Republicans ginned up a new Wisconsin law which Evers signed.

Here's an example of "anti-Semitism" from the guidepost cited:

Manifestations might include the targeting of the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish
collectivity. However, criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country
cannot be regarded as antisemitic.

Oh.  So one may criticize the State of Israel, but ONLY IF one also criticizes any other country for 'similar' offenses.

The main guideline?

" Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews."

How bad is this thing?

... Opponents of the measure argued that some of the examples used by the IHRA in support of the definition conflated political criticism of Israeli government actions with antisemitism — exposing people to being accused of antisemitism, or possibly facing criminal penalties, for criticizing Israel’s response to the Palestinian population or advocating on their behalf....

However, Rep Tusler (R) inserted a provision protecting free speech (and thought) for anyone on a college campus.

He recognized the First Amendment for college profs and students!!!  This is to be praised.  Right?  Right???

"Gimme Moar Money!!!" From MPS

Own a home in Milwaukee?  Think about selling.  Fast.

... [Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent] Cassellius said asking voters to approve a new referendum is not out of the question.

"I've not ruled that out," she said. "I've tried to be really honest with the public. I have said that I do think there's a point where we need to come to the public for referendum. ...

And the buildings!!  They are ANCIENT!!!

...I think there's also a point to have a conversation with the public around our buildings. The age of our buildings is 85 years old. They are really getting at the lifespan of their use."...

Marquette High School's main building is 100 years old this year.

And the kids can read, write, and do sums.

Iran vs. USA Began in 1953

Stuff here worth knowing.  You won't get this from Fox News nor the White House.

...America’s troubled relationship with the Iranian people dates not from the 1979 U.S. embassy hostage crisis but from 1953, when the United States and Britain clandestinely overthrew the country’s fledgling democracy and instituted the brutal dictatorship of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the country’s latest (and, as it would turn out, last) foreign puppet-ruler....

That was a British-inspired move; the Brits wanted the petroleum and promised to share it with the US.  By the way, the Little-Boy-Pahlavi running around claiming that he can move right in and take over ruling Iran?  Not likely at all.

The democracy that the US overthrew (thanks, Allen Dulles!) was actually favored by the Shi'a Muslim clerisy.

... Shia Islam had been adopted by Iran in the 16th century as a form of resistance against the perceived tyranny of the Ottoman empire, whose caliphs claimed the right to rule the whole Muslim world as the successors of Muhammad and sought to encroach on Iranian sovereignty....

... the 18th-century American British colonists were fascinated by Iran’s Shia resistance to the Ottoman empire and saw it as a fulfillment of Persia’s long tradition of civilized refinement and benign rule stretching back to Cyrus the Great. In fact, colonial Americans developed a sort of love affair and even obsession with Iran in the early 18th century....

It's American, ya'know, to become a formal ally of dictators--so long as they dictate in a US direction.  So Turkey is a member of NATO, and the Shi'a are now The Enemy.

Hard to keep up, ain'a--unless you own shares of British Petroleum (BP--the "green" gas stations.)

Unfortunately for the first Pahlavi dictator, he got palsy with one A. Hitler.  So the Brits and Russkies got rid of him and installed his son as the Shiny New Shah--and the Brits took the petroleum in exchange.

... However, the new shah faced strongly democratic forces in Iran that were backed by much of the Shia clergy, who were seeking the country’s independence from foreign economic and political control. By 1951, the parliament had forced the shah to accept the strongly reformist Mohammad Mosaddegh as the country’s prime minister. Mosaddegh immediately began to curtail the power of the shah and to nationalize the country’s oil industry....

Can't have THAT!!  So MI6 and CIA saw to the elimination of Masaddegh, leaving Pahlavi solely in charge.

Then comes a twist that will shock most Americans (it did that to me, too.)

...The United States and the State of Israel began to work with the shah to ensure that nothing would threaten his rule in the future. With the help of the CIA and Israel’s Mossad, Mohammad Reza established SAVAK, a secret police force that would arrest political dissidents and systematically torture them in hidden prisons. Thousands of Iranians suffered this fate, including intellectuals who had been able to freely publish and speak only a few years earlier....

 In return.......

... The shah abolished all political parties in the parliament, restricting who could run and permitting only a single, pro-shah party that acted as a rubber stamp and a defender of his absolute rule. He dutifully invited the United States to send its major oil companies, including Exxon, Mobil, and Texaco, to manage the country’s oil resources and take 50 percent of the profits along with British Petroleum....

Fifty percent?  That's the classic "Beyond the Dreams of Avarice."

... By the late 1960s, the shah was so isolated from his people and drunk on power that he scheduled a coronation ceremony to have himself crowned as “Emperor” (literally, “King of Kings”) of Iran, a vanity title from Iran’s ancient past that only had meaning in the narcissistic dream world in which he was living...

The Greeks had a word for that.

The Iranian hoi polloi became restive and the clergy helped move that along, as "progressive" US values pushed by such as Planned Parenthood showed up on scene.

... In 1978, protesters began to hit the streets, encouraged by the Ayatollah Khomeini still in exile, and they were consequently joined by the nation’s Shia clergy and clerical students. The shah’s U.S.-backed military began to massacre street protesters, but each wave of killings brought even more protesters into the streets month after month. Graffiti written on the walls read, “Death to America’s Shah.”...

Jimmuh Cartuh now proved beyond a doubt that he was dumber than GWBush:

...The turning point came in late 1978, when Jimmy Carter made a personal phone call to the shah—after a particularly bloody massacre that used helicopter gunships against protesters—in which Carter “reaffirmed the close and friendly relationship between Iran and the United States,” as the White House summarized the call.

The United States had clearly thrown the Iranian dissidents under the bus. The population became more enraged and protests continued to grow. Finally, the shah fled the country, and in February of 1979 the Ayatollah Khomeini returned from exile in a plane filled with Western journalists, now received by colossal mobs of literally millions of joyful supporters, and by almost the whole range of political opinion, as the de facto leader of the Iranian Revolution....

Cahtuh's stupidity ensured that the Iranians would keep the hostages until he left power in the US.  Maybe you believe the fable that the Ayatollah feared Reagan?  Actually, the Ayatollah was working as hard as he could to FREE the hostages.  He had morals, unlike certain current US and Israeli leaders.

... Iran soon began to ally itself with other countries and causes linked to anti-colonialism in the Middle East and worldwide, especially with fellow Shias. When Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982 and committed a massacre against thousands of Palestinian refugees at Sabra and Shatila under the protection of U.S. Marine “peacekeepers,” Iran began to aid Shia Muslim organizations in the area that eventually came together to form Hezbollah (the “Party of God”), a political party and militia created to resist the Israeli occupation....

But Netanyahu tells you that Hezbollah does that massacre thing.  Yah, well, they were taught the technique by Israel.

...When American corporations tried to break the ice and begin doing business with Iran again in the mid-’90s, neoconservative pundits, AIPAC lobbyists, and the State of Israel went to work to shut them down....

... a multi-billion-dollar oil drilling deal with Conoco was nixed by Bill Clinton via a seeping executive order in 1995, which prohibited virtually all commerce, either direct or indirect, with Iran....

So Iran began to develop nuclear power plants.  That technology was given to them by none other than the good old USA.

Why are the Houthis so nasty?

...When the United States invaded Iraq in 2003, Iran gave arms to Shia militias there to help them run the United States out of the country. Meanwhile, the United States and Israel funded the Sunni-aligned terrorists affiliated with Al Qaeda and ISIS, enabling them to wreak chaos in Syria and to finally install an Israel-friendly, Sunni regime. The United States also continued to support Israel in its own terrorist policies against the Palestinians and other Arab countries in the region. In turn, the Iranians built up Hezbollah to a massive fighting force and made an alliance with the Houthis in Yemen, while also supporting the Palestinian Sunni Muslim party Hamas, in Gaza....

Now Trump has both feet planted in the quicksand in a monumental case of FAFO for the US.

Israel it holding our coat.  How very sportsmanlike of them!

WSJ + Barnes vs. Trump UPDATED!

It is useful to know that the Wall Street Journal is a Globaloney Outfit par excellence.  Odd that Murdoch owns it AND owns the home of Hannity, but there you have it.

... The WSJ has an article out that highlights the truth that Trump largely winged his war, with no real plan, against advice, and under the direction of Netanyahu. He recognized he had failed early on, but now—as predicated by Professor Pape’s doctrine of the “escalation trap”—sees no other option that to … double down....

In another venue, Robert Barnes and Larry Johnson discuss whether or not Trump has gone off his rocker.  Seriously.  That's what Barnes proposes.

Barnes has always tended to be a bit buffoonish (U of Wisconsin Law grad) and desperately wants to be regarded as a "neutral" guy.  He mentions that he voted for Trump three times.  But he does love him some clicks.

Barnes also states--flatly--that JDVance will NOT run for President in '28.  Is this a double-secret reverse-pin vomited out to hype the campaign of Rubio?  Maybe.  Barnes observes that Rubio is doing a disappearing act vis-a-vis the Iran negotiations.

UPDATE:  That was then.  This is now--and much more in accord with the Israeli/Hannity/Globaloney Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran WSJ of the Good Old Days:

... the Journal is suddenly in lockstep with the President. On Air Force One last night, President Trump said he might not extend the ceasefire with Iran if no deal is reached by Wednesday, and that he may “have to start dropping bombs again.”...

If Trump is truly "plan-less" or worse, mad as a hatter, why does the WSJ want him at the bomb-switch?

Egads.

We Missed the Call on Kirk's Assassin

Well, he's no longer a patsy.

...Prosecutors revealed the campus cameras captured Tyler Robinson going to the snipers perch, taking the shot at Charlie Kirk, and then running away into a wooded area....

Shoulda known that his "trans" stuff had meaning.

Thune Just Gets Worse and Worse......

Senator John Thune (R-D.C.Swamp) refuses to move the SAVE Act, claiming "tradition" supports him.

Now he refuses to supply Senate hearings information to the Department of Justice--which information will assist DoJ in their investigation of John Brennan, perjurer, former Communist Party supporter, and Obama CIA director.

...Thune's team has told DOJ the Senate leader is trying to get unanimous consent to transmit the evidence, negotiating with Democrats to avoid a floor vote that could slow down other legislation. ...

That's one possible reason.

OR.....

The Usual Suspects--other "Republican" Senators who actually represent the Swamp and bathe in corruption every night--will not vote for a resolution and Thune is covering for them.

One suspects the latter.

Pubbies WITH Courage (!!)

Speaker Johnson, a Bible-believing man, decided that 11:30 PM was a fine time to bring up a 'clean' FISA 702 renewal bill.

He was wrong.  Several Republicans who have courage (sorely lacking in ALL the Wisconsin delegation), stuffed his gimmick-bill right back up his nose.

... An eclectic mix of Republicans rejected Johnson’s proposal: Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Andy Harris (Md.), Darin LaHood (Ill.), Thomas Massie (Ky.), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (Iowa), Zach Nunn (Iowa), Andy Ogles (Tenn.), Scott Perry (Pa.), John Rose (Tenn.), Keith Self (Texas), Mike Turner (Ohio) and Jeff Van Drew (N.J.).

Rebellious Republicans then joined with Democrats again to vote down a rule to consider the clean, 18-month FISA extension originally sought by President Donald Trump and GOP leaders. Twenty Republicans voted no on a rule — a remarkable rejection....

Either you have a warrant, or you keep your spying nose, ears, and eyes, OUT of our comms.

Thanks!!  We have Profiles People there.

Traitors In Our Midst

Here is a list of people "authorized" to attend a "civil rights" meeting.  You will notice that the attendees are all Extreme Leftist Totalitarians, at least two of which conspired to eliminate the civil rights of anti-abortion citizens.

Treat them the way they deserve to be treated.

ObamaCare: Screwing Small-Town Hospitals Since 2010

Next time some Democrat politician liar screeches about "cost of healthcare," remind them that ObamaCare cost people their only nearby hospital.

Although this essay was written in 2015, it is germane today.  The excerpts here are linked to an article in today's RedState, which brings out a number of other ObamaCare disasters.

... There are several factors contributing to the decline of rural hospitals, but the main culprit since 2010 has been Obamacare. The president’s health care law made cuts to Medicare providers, reduced federal payments to hospitals for the uninsured, caused massive increases in deductibles that discourage patients from seeking care, and mandated a host of new regulations.

Though the administration claimed Obamacare’s Medicare cuts would be used to extend the life of the Medicare trust fund, they were actually used to pay for Obamacare’s massive new entitlements. Despite the billions of dollars Obamacare spent to try to boost health insurance enrollment, the administration continues to fall short of its coverage goals. For hundreds of rural hospitals, the Medicare cuts make it difficult to stay afloat....

Then the Democrats found a way to make it worse:  Biden's "No Borders Here!!!" policies.

... Obamacare reduced federal payments for the uninsured, known as Disproportionate Share Hospital payments. This money goes to hospitals with a disproportionate share of uninsured patients. Obamacare reduced these payments with the expectation that they would be less necessary once more people had insurance, especially through Medicaid expansion. The expansion has not happened like the administration expected, but the DSH payments were still cut. Many states could not bear to put more of their residents in a Medicaid program that already struggled to care for their communities’ sickest and poorest people. Other states could not have afforded to expand even if they wanted to – Medicaid expansion requires states to cover part of the bill starting in 2017, which is an enormous challenge for cash-strapped states. By taking away these hospitals’ DSH payments, Obamacare dealt another financial blow to small hospitals across the country....

"Uninsured"?  Translate that to "ILLEGAL ALIEN"

Life would be far better--and likely a lot longer--without Democrat "help."

Vote as though your life depended on it, because it does.

The Needy Remind You....

A day late, but PowerLine caught this.

The Case FOR the War in Iran

We have often mentioned that Grim knows more than he says about 'stuff' worldwide, but especially in the Middle East.  He defers to "Wretchard", claiming that Wretchard is far more intimate with Muslim war philosophy.

In this post, Wretchard mentions Avicenna and Averroes, and outlines the simple difference between Just War Theory and the War Theory of Muslims.  It's worth the very short read.

That said, Tucker's position--that there are 'crazy' Muslims who do most of the killing (etc.) AND there are 'normie' Muslims who won't engage in that crap--is also valid.  The claims from Jewish propagandists that Tucker 'thinks Sharia is superior to Western law' are simply that:  propaganda, as Tucker is merely comparing the good order of Muslim metro areas to the shambolic poop-stained sidewalks of Pelosi-Town.  We think Tucker wins that battle without breaking a sweat.

Meantime:  the Pope and the Cardinals should pay attention to Wretchard and not to Axelrod.  Listen attentively to what Tom Homan has to say about immigrants and The Cartels, rather than to US Bishops whose "Charities" sucks up a boat-load of tax dollars (thus forfeiting the right to call themselves 'neutral.')

The Kirk Bullet

We have been skeptical of the narrative on the Kirk assassination.  The FBI released new information today on the bullet.  Hmmmm......

We continue to think that the accused is a patsy.

Initial reports were that the killer used a K-98 Mauser re-barreled to .30-06.  That is a very powerful round, so the story that 'it could not penetrate Kirk's spine' at the neck was .........interesting.  A friend reminded me that the power of the round may have been altered by 'short-filling'--that is, using less powder or a different powder formulation than the typical load for that round.

That's a real possibility, as the FBI's release confirms the bullet was .30-06.

But when one alters the powder load one alters the ballistics, therefore the zero of the sights.  So:  either the shooter re-sighted the weapon for the short-load OR the rifle's owner was using short-loads and the sights had been adjusted accordingly.  Either way, the shooter had to have had at least a few hours' range-time to hone his skill.

Entirely possible?  Yes.  Entirely likely?  Hmmmmmm...........

So he's deranged and a very good marksman using altered rounds in a rifle sighted for those alterations.

OK, then....

The Principle of Double-Effect Used By Axelrod

The Axelrod visit with the Pope was a master-stroke for Axelrod, whose Communist Party affiliations (Mom, Dad, Grandpa) are a massive tell.

(Recall that the Communists despise the Church AND the US.)

Why a "master-stroke"?

Because not only did Axelrod persuade the Pope to make a few careless statements about the US President, thereby diminishing that President's support and prestige.

But in addition, the Pope's careless statements also diminished the prestige of the Papal office, and the Church.

A Two-Fer.  Damn, that was a good move.

US Bishops "Forget" President's Real Duties

 This is embarrassing.

“For over a thousand years, the Catholic Church has taught just war theory and it is that long tradition the Holy Father carefully references in his comments on war. A constant tenet of that thousand-year tradition is a nation can only legitimately take up the sword ‘in self-defense, once all peace efforts have failed’ (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2308). That is, to be a just war it must be a defense against another who actively wages war, which is what the Holy Father actually said: ‘He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war.’

“When Pope Leo XIV speaks as supreme pastor of the universal Church, he is not merely offering opinions on theology, he is preaching the Gospel and exercising his ministry as the Vicar of Christ. The consistent teaching of the Church is insistent that all people of good will must pray and work toward lasting peace while avoiding the evils and injustices that accompany all wars.”

We have not made a secret of our opposition to this war.

That said, it appears that the US Bishops very carefully skirt the question of "prudential judgment."  IOW, they assert--without evidence--that the US started an offensive war against Iran.

But in fact, the US President, given evidence by his military and intel sources, may have determined that Iran has been on the offensive against the US by asymmetric means and attacks, AND that '.....all peace efforts' over the last 20+ years '....have failed.'  Thus, using prudential judgment, he launched a defensive assault on Iran.

(We happen to disagree with the President's determination.  So what?  Apparently the Pope does, too.  So what?)

Do the Bishops believe that Trump, and those who agree with him, are "bad faith operators" in this instance?

If so, they should just say so, instead of embarrassing themselves with very carefully-designed tip-toe statements which ignore the munus of the President.

The Cost of Your Car(s)

"Affordability" is the Democrat Mantra this year.

Maybe their constituents should start taking the bus.

...The CPI for motor vehicle maintenance and repairs jumped by 1.25% in March from February and by 6.1% year-over-year, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Since January 2020, those prices exploded by 50%. These are services – parts and equipment are in a separate category, see further below – and these services are driven by the cost of labor (which surged) and profits (which also surged)....

OK.  Let's get to the parts part!

...The CPI for motor vehicle parts and equipment jumped by 0.7% in March from February. Year-over-year, and from three years ago (March 2023), it was up by 3.9%.

But since January 2020, the index has soared by 27%, most of it in 2021 and 2022....

('21/'22 were the years of the Fauci/Biden Wuhan-Fluhan disaster.  Factories closed due to those two, and prices went up.  Supply/demand writ large.)

But there's MORE!!

...The CPI for motor vehicle insurance has been flat to down since the peak in mid-2025. In March it was essentially unchanged from February, and up only 0.8% from a year ago.

But since January 2020, the index has spiked by 56%. Insurers, which got hit by spiking repair costs and exploding used-vehicle prices (replacement costs) in 2020-2022, raised their premiums to keep up with cost increases, plus some. But recently, those increases stalled....

Well, yes.......we know.......most (D) voters don't bother with car insurance (nor registration, licensing, and driver's licensing, either.)  But they would be far better off if they just sold their cars and started using the trolley.  Or bus.  Or walking.

Trump's Eyes on Wrong Goal

Trump has done and said some really stupid things in the last year or so.

He "obliterated" Iran's nuke program--but sent SF into the Iran desert to "RE-obliterate" it (???).

Uh-huh.  Probably means that Iran will have a nuke in 2 years or less, just like they would have one "in 2 years or less" for the last twenty years.

Uh-huh.

Then Trump verbally beats up the Pope.  Optics?  Horrible.  Pp. Leo talks like a sausage--let him bury himself.  No need for you to pile on, Donald.

Now he tries to sell us on the Virtue of Fighting Israel's Wars with the announcement that the stock market is going to go up!  But can it possibly keep up with Dep't of War spending plus tax reductions?

Well, he knows about "going up":  he did that to the national debt in both his terms.

If "Stock Market Up" was his goal, did it require a war to make that happen?

Your priorities are not really "America First," Donald.  "Stock Market First" seems to have become the front-runner; and "stock market" is a code-word for MONEY.  The pursuit of Mo'Money has been a Trump hallmark for both of his terms.

Wrong priority.

Money--or material satisfaction--is not really "America Great."  There is a lot more to "Great" than the Dow Jones.  During his first term, Trump at least pretended to know that, notably with his 'moment of prayer'.

"Great" means grasping truth, goodness, and beauty.  Money is not among those.

Congress Buries Most of the Dirt

For all the hullabaloo, Swalwell is only one of dozens?  hundreds?  in Congress who have been .....ahhhhh......doing the naughties to their staff or random other women and men.

But you will never know who they are, unless they represent a problem to other politicians, like Swalwell does. Mind you, this is your money.

Nearly all members of Congress, 357 Republicans and Democrats, don’t want taxpayers to know which members have used  taxpayer funds to pay sexual harassment claims.

An untold number of members of Congress have spent a combined roughly $17 million of taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment claims made against them, according to House records, U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-KY, says.

U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-SC, this week proposed forcing a vote on a resolution she filed directing the U.S. House Committee on Ethics to “preserve and publicly release all records related to investigations into Members of Congress for sexual harassment, unwelcome sexual advances, and sexual assault under House rules.”...

The majority of Congress on Wednesday, 357, disagreed. Nearly all Republicans, 175, and nearly all Democrats, 182, voted to refer the resolution to the committee, essentially killing it....

There was a roll-call vote.  That means that you can find out how YOUR Congress-slime voted.

Odds are he/she/it voted to keep it all a secret, following the tradition established by none other than Paul Ryan--another holy-picture poser.

From Wisconsin?  Here are your Congress-members who voted to keep it all secret.

Tiffany, Grothman, Steil, Van Orden, Fitzgerald, Wied, and Moore.

You won't hear about that from the WISN/WIBA Kissers of Republican Ass.

The Rats Who Claim To Be Good Guys

Sundance read all the Atkinson documents that Tulsi released (not the HPSCI, who are lying worms and snakes.)

Who are the rat-snakes who want you to believe they are "good guys" while being rat-snakes?

... Former HPSCI Chairman, then HPSCI Ranking Member Devin Nunes was a participant in the testimony.  Former HPSCI member, now CIA Director John Ratcliffe was a participant in the testimony.  Former HPSCI staff, now FBI Director Kash Patel was a participant in the testimony....

These assh**es all knew exactly what was going on with the Trump impeachment "evidence"--that it was made up by Ciarmarella and sworn to by Vindman (et.al.)  But they remained silent.

Nice to note that Bongino was not among them, eh?

Question:  when is Trump going to fire them?

A Greater Fool: Hannity.

So happens this Boomer was tired of Hannity about 30 years ago--and we do not include either Fox or CNN in our cable package.  And yes--we know--streaming is smarter than cable so shut up already.

Anyhow.

While Trump occupies the front page with his idiotic "I am Jesus" picture* and a ridiculous, un-needed screed blasting the Pope, Hannity turns out to be the greater fool.

...SEAN HANNITY (HOST): The Pope made a statement. Did you see the Pope's statement? If you want to bring this up, I'll talk --

LYNDA MCLAUGHLIN (PRODUCER): I see everything he says. I hate-watch him. It's terrible.

HANNITY: You hate watching him. I hate the Pope.

MCLAUGHLIN: No. I hate-watch him. Get it? Like, I hate what he says, so I hate watch him. Like, I got to know what he says because I got to know, but I hate-watch him. It's like, I'm just watching it because I know it's going to tick me off.

HANNITY: Okay. He doesn't want any conflict anywhere, and he was talking about violence. And I'm like, have you even read the Bible? Have you read the conflicts, the wars that were -- that the Israeli people that were they were empowered by God to defeat their enemies? Did you ever hear the story about David slaying Goliath through the power of God with a slingshot against this massive giant, or the conflicts and the wars of King Saul and so on and so forth. And frankly, all throughout Israel's history, they've been, you know, surrounded by enemies. But as God's chosen people, they, against all odds, keep winning. Pretty amazing....

Hannity claims he was raised Catholic, by the way.

He doesn't really hate the Pope.  He hates the Catholic definition of marriage, which is "once and done" in effect.  Hannity dumped Wife #1 and is jumping "Wife" #2.  His guilt is what drives his hate for the Pope and the Church.  We know that, Sean.

Apparently in his "Catholic" upbringing nobody ever mentioned the New Covenant, either.  Odd, that.

Finally, despite our reservations about Pp Leo's yappaflappa, we will bet more than $1.00 that the Pope knows a good deal more of both the Old and New Testaments than does "raised-Catholic-but-adulterous" Hannity.

*Yes, Trump took down that blasphemous picture.
