Democrats Plot "Wealth Tax"

It should not be a shock to learn that the Democrats (and the usual "Republicans") are scheming and plotting ways to institute a 'wealth tax.'  That's a tax levied on UN-realized capital gains.

Huh?

Let's say you bought a house in 1990 for $60,000.00.  Now, 33 years later, it's worth $260,000.00.  You have not sold the house.

The Democrat (and the usual "Republicans") would levy income tax on that $200,000.00 gain in value.  Doesn't matter that you still own the house, doesn't matter that you didn't take "income" from it.  They want the money.  (You would pay cap-gains tax on that money when you sold the place--but that's not fast enough for the Democrats.)

(In fact, that little game is what Biden plays when he says that "the rich" don't pay their "fair share."  He and his Democrat Communist fellow-travelers added UN-realized capital gains as "income" to spin their position.)

Anyhow, watch this case at SCOTUS.  It's a foreshadowing.
