This chart should tell you how bad the administration underestimated the severity of the recession a couple years back. Why they assumed that peak unemployment would only be 9% even without stimulus still boggles the mind.
BTW, copper, up for the last year or so, is now leveling, and is down slightly in the last 30 days. Still elevated quite a bit over 1 year ago.
No surprise if you follow ESCR.
