About DoD Spending

Interesting factoid:

Under President Bush, military spending averaged 3.9 percent of GDP. Under President Obama, it has averaged 4.9 percent—a full percentage point higher.

That MAY be because Obama moved the cost of Iraq/Afghanistan to the DoD budget--GWB used 'off-budget' funding--but it's interesting.

And it's a very large number.
