US Government admits satellite temperature readings “degraded.” All data taken offline in shock move. Global warming temperatures may be 10 to 15 degrees too high.
The fault was first detected after a tip off from an anonymous member of the public to climate skeptic blog, Climate Change Fraud (view original article) (August 9, 2010).
...[NOAA] Program Coordinator, Chuck Pistis declined to state how long the fault might have gone undetected. Nor would the shaken spokesman engage in speculation as to the damage done to the credibility of a decade’s worth of temperature readings taken from the problematic ‘NOAA-16’ satellite.Only 10 years' data.
World-renowned Canadian climatologist, Dr. Timothy Ball, after casting his expert eye over the shocking findings concluded, “At best the entire incident indicates gross incompetence, at worst it indicates a deliberate attempt to create a temperature record that suits the political message of the day.”
But, by all means, let us crush Wisconsin electricity-users with $6 BILLION in forced cap-costs of utility wind-farms/woodburners/"better" coal-combustion.
That way the price of electricity can double AGAIN in 10 years!

Oh boy did you nail THIS one, particularly the last sentence. No chance Ron's regional copy of the JS will carry THIS item....
Any reputable news source should not cover this, at least not how you present it. The Great Lakes Coastwatch data is put together by a local team, and used mainly for navigation and fishing purposes. Shortcomings of the data are well known, i.e. it skews up during cloudy conditions, but the alerts which are meant to flag such suspect data were missing from the site in question.
More importantly, this data set is not incorporated into any part of the larger global data used by climate scientists.
You would know this if in "researching" the issue, you looked at sites which do more than support your predefined conclusions.
Oh, well.
Back to the Hockey Stick fraud.
Nope. Nothing there either. It must be very nice to have the luxury of holding demonstrably flawed views and blithely following them anyway.

I'd say there's nothing like having the luxury of flawed views with the weight of a big government agenda behind it. That way there's no need to consider anyone elses view. The debate is settled, by God.
