"Since Day One"

Well.

"Since Day One" is in pictures at this site.

Offhand, I'd guess around 288 holes of golf Since Day One.

What a magnificent failure he is.

I'm guessing he probably took 40 or 50 dumps, too. This president can actually walk and chew gum at the same time.

Administration officials were sent to the region on day one. At that time it was a platform fire and a leak of UNKNOWN volume. Only BP could know the magnitude, and they weren't forthcoming.

The only issue here really is the perception of Obama's concern or leadership in the matter. What you REALLY want is to:

1) have some grounds, however baseless, to criticize the president

2) have him working 24/7 on this one issue so that he is not advancing his so-called "socialist agenda"

Actually, only #2 is correct.

His agenda is far more deleterious to the USA than the oil spill.

Jim said...

That's your opinion. I think his agenda is just fine.

Then move to Russia, comrade.

Barack is advancing his environmental/cap+tax agenda in the gulf by NOT trying to stop the leak.

Thus, the NEED for environmental/cap+tax legislation to solve/prevent these types of environmental issues will be present and the legislation will be necessary.

Obama is incompetent. November is coming.

I suppose if you have the same regard for this country as William Ayers or Jeremiah Wright, you would think Obama's agenda is just fine.

You refer to Bill Ayers, who with Bernardine Dohrn, contributed to the "peace boat" in the Med?

That Bill Ayers? The CPUSA/underground member?

Usually golf is worshipped as a deal-making mechanism, when it's carried out by CEOs.

That's baloney. Do you think he's Red Adair?

I don't care anything about Ayers or Wright. I have every bit of if not more of a high regard for this country as you or anybody else. And I firmly believe that Obama's agenda will benefit America much more that the agendas of the Bushes or Reagan and their cronies and mouthpieces.

If it's British petroleum, why the hell are they drilling in the gulf? It's time to nationalize BP like we nationalized the colonies 200+ yrs ago.

He wouldn't have to Red Adair to ahve made sure the problem was handled in less than 20 days, not 45+.

What a bull shit statement! Are you suggesting that either:

1) BP is willing to incur billions more cost by not fixing something they could have fixed in 20 days, or

2) The federal government had the expertise and ability to stop the leak in 20 days but hasn't through neglect or conspiracy?

Something else?

So - now that we know that Obama knew very early in the process that it would take a LONG time to get the oil stopped...

Why'd it take so long to approve the sand berms?

Why didn't they mobilize to get Louisiana the boom they were asking for?

Why'd it take 13 days for his first photo op?

Why didn't they have fire booms to contain the spill from the get-go?

Why did they continue to allow BP to use dispersents in deep water that are creating large below-surface plumes instead of letting it come to the surface for skimming and/or burning?

Why'd they put an environmental lawyer from BP in charge of MMS and then let them keep pencil-whipping inspections and giving safety awards while surfing porn and going to the Peach Bowl?

Where the hell is the military? They have some pretty freakin' impressive deep water equipment and some pretty bright folks.

Nope - the Obama response has been golf, dithering, and fundraisers - and TWO vacations.

Incompetence is on display front and center. Obama owns this one.

Oooohhhhh.

That smarts, Jim, eh?

It is pertinent that BP (which includes the old Standard Oil/Chicago) was a significant contributor to the LightWorker's campaign(s) over the years.

Gee. Standard Oil, Chicago.

Chicago.

Hmmmmmmm............
