Girl Sailor's Family "Not Wealthy" Enough

Umnnhhhh...

THE mother of rescued American teenage sailor Abby Sunderland has said the family cannot afford to reimburse the Australian Government for the cost of saving her daughter which could top $300,000.

Well, you paid at least $40K for her yacht, bare-bones, and likely another $20K for the electronics and outfitting, Mom.

No WONDER you're 'not wealthy.'

I heard the family is a very self-centered, self-aggrandizing bunch. Apparently they are now working on some reality TV shows...

How did the Aussies spend $300,000? She was rescued by a french fishing boat.

Sounds like there are at least $60k in assets available.
