New Econometric Toy

Neat.

This outfit, Ceridian, collects real-time data on diesel usage and puts it here.

January results: not so hot, but better than LAST January.

The regional "East North Central" view is interesting--lower than the national average, likely because Detroit is in the dumps and most Big Three (2? 1? 1.25?) Tier One suppliers lie in that region.

(Only two regions are noticeably higher than the national average: the West Coast (!?!) and South Central (TX, OK, AR, LA.)
