First Jones. Next: Holdren

Another Marxist, or close enough.

Just how many communists are there holed up in the Obama White House anyway?

John Holdren, Obama's biggest radical and Science Czar, slammed the idea of American exceptionalism and explicitly said that we need to redistribute energy and material resources during the Bali Conference on global warming on July 12, 2007.

Ace (HT) continues:

Asked if a reduction in the US standard of living was a politically viable demand, Holdgren responds:

"I think, ultimately, the rate of growth of material consumption is going to have to come down, and there's going to have to be a degree of redistribution of how much we consume in terms of energy and material resources in order to leave room for people who are poor to become more prosperous."

Holdren is suggesting a pre-emption of US consumption, not a re-distribution of the wealth AFTER its production.

Pre-re-distribution, I guess.

The presumption is that 'poor people' can actually utilize the resources productively. Think Yemen or Kazakhstan building a nuke-plant, or the Hoover Dam, e.g.

Yah. That'll work.
