ACORN: Consistently Fraudulent

Now in Michigan.

Several municipal clerks across [Michigan] are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN's Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

"There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications," said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State's Office. "And it appears to be widespread."

The scope of the fraud nation-wide suggests that if McCain manages to win by more than one percent, we'll have to consider it a landslide...

Yeah, especially if the disenfranchisement schemes by Repubnlicans come to fruition -- again.

Still -- ACORN does seem to have an awful lot of problems.

Exactly what are the "Republicans" doing to disenfranchise voters? And don't give me the Voter ID line again. They offered free ones for the poor, and my 83 year-old grandmother, who never got a driver's license, had a WI state ID so she could cash checks.

tos no doubt means the shameful disenfranchisement of the dead, the non-citizens, and the fictional, and/or the oppressive practice of insisting living citizens limit their voting to one and only one precinct.

Certainly the only people telling the poor, non-white, old, and infirm that they "won't be able to vote" are the leftists and Democrats.

Try any of the ones that I have listed.

heatherradish - don't forget the illegal aliens and imprisoned. And with all of O's international support, someone may try to claim that they're disenfranchised as well.

But try to bring up the suppressed armed services votes in 2000, all you get is a big fat "meh".
