Fascist Senators of the (D) Persuasion

Oh, yeah. We don't like the facts, so we will pull your license.

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, Assistant Democratic Leader Dick Durbin, and Senators Debbie Stabenow, Charles Schumer, and Byron Dorgan (leading "lights" of 1st-Amendment privileges, right?) all signed a letter threatening ABC/Disney:

"We write with serious concerns about the planned upcoming broadcast of The Path to 9/11 mini-series on September 10 and 11. ...

..."The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest

..."We urge you, after full consideration of the facts, to uphold your responsibilities as a respected member of American society and as a beneficiary of the free use of the public airwaves to cancel this factually inaccurate and deeply misguided program. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.

They allege that presenting a fictionalized representation of X42's, Berger's, and Tenet's derelictions is cause for pulling ABC's license.

The puppet-master here, of course, is X42 of the Blue Satin Dress fame. Since his policy failed (fatally, for well over 3,000 Americans and countless others) the record must be sanitized, or at least made un-available.

In all likelihood, the Hildebeeste (D-NY) is also pushing for exculpting the evidence which the ABC production will bring out.

For a COMPLETE LIST of the X42 Administration's failures, hesitations, and mis-steps, all of which led to deaths of Americans (and others,) see Amy's entry here (scroll down...)
