Wiggy Schools the Ignorant: Kevin Kennedy

Wiggy, in his measured tones, rips the face off Kevin Kennedy and his enabler, some likely-senile ex-blackrobe named Nichols. (I ascribe potential senility to the fellow because it's a lot kinder than calling him a vindictive H8R and legal ignoramus.)

The special delight is in the last graf of Wiggy's essay.

By the way, Joe McCarthy was a US Senator, not a member of the House.

The SJW's Techniques

When dealing with a Social Justice Warrior, one must be prepared for their tactics.  Vox, in a short and sweet passage, itemizes them:

Threats, point-and-shriek, playing the victim, false accusations, and the inevitable appeal to the amenable authority.

So happens that a friend of mine who works in a retail store had an experience which fits that narrative to a "T".  The "aggrieved" little wench lied about the incident, assigned the incident to "racism", gave herself "victim" status, threatened the retail store ('I'll never shop there again....') and of course, sent this pack of crap to the store's management.

To no avail, by the way.  My friend's track record with the store and its customers is impeccable and the store prays that the SJW's threat to 'never shop there again' is a promise that will be kept.

Trump Goes Idiot, Rubio Remains Same

Ace (and Krikorian) make The Donald into a blustering buffoon, by quoting The Donald's very own website.

Rubio remains fanatical about blowing Zuckerberg.

Methinks The Donald's balloon is deflating.

We should mention that Matloff has the same take on these two charlatans.

Sensenbrenner's Failure Theatre

Ol' Jimbo will town-hall, loudly, his vote against the Boehner/McConnell/Obozo Betrayal Budget.

What he will NOT say is that he voted FOR bringing it to a vote.  Ol' Jimbo knew that it would pass--even Ryan, who called the process 'stinky', voted for the damn thing.

But Ol' Jim could have voted NOT to bring it to a vote, like the Real Conservatives in the House.

So Ol' Jim's Campaign Conservatism is safe.

Suckers!!

Huckabee's Excellent Analogy

You may or may not like Mike Huckabee's politics, but he fashioned an excellent analogy last night.

..."If you saw that blimp that got cut loose from Maryland today, it’s a perfect example of government," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said at the Wednesday night debate hosted by CNBC.

"I mean, what we had was something the government made — basically a bag of gas — that cut loose, destroyed everything in its path, left thousands of people powerless, but they couldn’t get rid of it because we had too much money invested in it, so we had to keep it.

"That is our government today. We saw it in the blimp. That's exactly what we saw."
...

One mother gasbag with at least 535 babies who occupy Congress, Mike.

Another USCC Embarrassment

The president of the United States Catholic Conference, Abp. Kurtz, has called for "complete de-carbonizing" of energy sources worldwide by 2050.

Let's take that a step further!!!  Paper is made from trees.  Money and checks are made of paper.  So let's "de-carbonize" the USCC's fundraising requests, eh?

Ryan: 'GOP Lost Its Vision.' He Ought to Know

Ryan, who has done horrific damage to current and future US taxpayers with his budget-busting deals in the last few years, who has shrugged off the homosex-"marriage" issue, and who has done his best to import lots of low-wage competitors for US workers both professional and non-professional, tells us that the (R) Party has "lost its vision."

Well, yah, Paul.  At one time the Republicans were fiscally responsible, understood Nature, and were more concerned about US citizens than about lining their pockets with Big Capital's money.

Oh, and actual Conservatives shunned Ayn Rand.

Lost vision, indeed, Paul.

The Donald Caves on Immigration

The Donald is now backing off on immigration, and he's backing off by a lot.

Forget about his "wall" thing, which was a bit absurd in the first place.  On the far more significant question about importing foreigners as slave-laborers in high-tech, he has started to crumble like a stale cookie.

Or maybe the Colorado cookies kinda affected his thinking?

Go Ahead, Shoot the Drone. It's Legal

The right ending for the Kentucky story about the leering drone.

Someone decided to peep at a teenaged girl sunbathing in her own, fenced, back yard.  A modern-day Peeping Tom--with his drone--decided to take a long look.

Girl's daddy popped the drone with a load of birdshot.  Peeping Tom bitched and the Daddy was cited.

The judge threw the case out of court.  Daddy was well within his rights.

Birdshot only, please!!  No 00, which can cause trouble on the way back down.

Ryan's Big Lie

Paul Ryan (who earns only a 55% rating at RedState) will vote for the s*&^sandwich that YOU will be forced to eat--the one served up by the usually-inebriated outgoing slimeball, Boehner.

So Ryan, who only yesterday said that the process of creating it "stinks," will vote for it.  So he's lying in effect, if not in text.  (That's something that Bill and Hill perfected, too.)

Obozo-approved!! Two full years of cap-busting spending!!  More Federal debt than anyone could possibly imagine!!  Slimy side-deals on ObozoCare!!

And "Mr. Fiscal Wizard" votes for it.

OK, Paul.

By all means, read Andy McCarthy's column which shows that Ryan (et. al.) are flat-out liars, too.

Some of us are old enough to remember the 2014 elections.  (And the promises made by RoJo who has evidently been blackmailed into squishiness.)  When it comes to 2016?

Boehner's Last Fraud

The 'budget' bill that Boehner, Obozo, and McConnell will ram up the ass of the taxpayers through Congress next week is another fraud, of course.

The spending increases will happen in the next 2 years.  The spending DEcreases will happen in 2021 or later, if ever.  And you can bet that everything after "happen" in the last sentence is already inoperative.

It also moves payroll tax (Soc Sec) revenues into the disability fund which will go broke next year unless this change happens.  Of course, that will ensure that the SocSec fund will go broke faster.  But who cares?  No one in Boehner/McConnell/Obozo-land.

And yes, Paul Ryan will vote against this.  That's the plan; the bill will pass regardless.

Suckers.

More at Conservative Review.

Clinton Fraud, Establishment Ennui, and Revolution of Revulsion

It's not so much that the Clinton Foundation is a massive Clinton-Enrichment operation wearing a thin, tattered veil of "charity."  We expect as much from those two and their offspring.

It's that absolutely no one in Washington will bother to do anything about it.  The infamous pile of s&^t named Lois Lerner has already taken a pass on auditing this "non-profit."   And the Insider Boyzzz of whatever party will most likely do the same.

This sort of crap is fueling the fire now burning down the (R) Party and is moving centrist Democrat rank-and-file to--of all people--The Donald.  In a somewhat perverse manner, this is the revolution born of revulsion.

The "Make Your Gummint Masters SAFE" Act

Ted Cruz was not crying wolf when he said that the US is 'one Justice away' from losing the Second Amendment.*

On Monday, the Court of Appeals for the Second U.S. Circuit issued a long awaited decision on the constitutionality of the most drastic gun control law in U.S. history, the New York SAFE Act of 2013. The Second Circuit ruled that nearly all of the law does not violate the Second Amendment.

So? Well, read the rest!!

The SAFE Act is a complete ban on the sale or transfer of all military-style semi-automatic rifles manufactured within the past several decades. It is a total ban on the AR-15, AK-47, M-14/M-1a, HK G3, Steyr AUG, and many other civilian copies of military firearms. ... the final version of the law allowed existing owners to keep their rifles as long as they registered them with the State. Upon the death of the owner, the rifle will be confiscated; it cannot be transferred to an heir within New York State.

The SAFE Act also enacted a complete ban on the possession of all firearm magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. The law contains no "grandfather" provision for previously legal items.

Beyond that, the SAFE Act banned all private transfers of firearms, except among spouses, parents, and children; it created an ammunition purchase background check and ammunition purchase registry; it banned the private sale of ammunition except from a licensed dealer; and it created a secret reporting requirement under which "mental health professionals" must report anyone suspected of being a "danger" to the State Police for mandatory gun confiscation
.

This will get to SCOTUS, of course; and Cuomo expects to win there, too; he's gambling that Kennedy will create another 'live your dream' interpretation favoring the law.  And then, any (D)-governed State will have the license to do exactly the same thing.

Short lesson:  buy your AR's now, along with as much ammo as you can stuff into a semi-trailer.

*Cruz was strategically, but not tactically, correct. Both CT and NY gun-owners have simply ignored or flouted gun-restriction laws (to the tune of about 90+%).  While some (D)-controlled States are populated by pansies, the 2A will remain in force, as written, "....shall not infringe", whether our Gummint Masters like it or not.

Come and get them, Mario!!

TWO Years of More Federal Spend-and-Debt?

Seems that the Establishment Boyzzz will shove it up ours at least one more time.

“Senior White House officials and congressional leaders are nearing a deal to raise the debt limit and set the federal budget for the next two years, say sources familiar with the talks,”  ---Breitbart quoting The Hill

How're you fixed for Vaseline?

At the rate these guys kick cans, there must be some soccer team that needs their talent.  If we beg, will that team take these people OUT of Congress?

Please?

Shoving the Overton Window Leftward: The Progressives and The Donald

Mirengoff has part of it.  The part he's not addressing is very important:  religion.

The rise of The Donald happens to be another result of the Left/Progressive anti-religion Long March, which is why it is not likely that The Donald will be elected, or even nominated.

...Some conservatives perceive that the left is bent on radically transforming American values, institutions, and ways of living, and will use almost any tactic, regardless of its legality, to accomplish the transformation.

Yup.  That's been ongoing since--at the very least--the LBJ regime, although some would, with justification, trace it back to the Progressive bunch of the early 1900's.  I think that while the Progressives gained more than a foothold at that time, the rotten fruit didn't show up until the '60's.  To me, the (D) Convention of 1968 serves as the most visible landmark of the great divide.  It resulted, eventually, in Ron Reagan, who was elected by disaffected old-school Democrats.

In fact, the Progressives were always fundamentally anti-religious, specifically, "anti-" the Judaeo-Christian foundation of the West.  Incidentally, they wound up in opposition to every other major religion's tenets, but for different reasons.  They were able to overcome religion through spending (now near unto totally dissipating) the wealth of the West and through playing to hedonism.

The short-hand for that is "sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll," and the current most visible manifestations are Obama, Hillary, and The Donald.

We don't have to spend too much time with the whys-and-wherefores of Obozo and HRC's inclusion in the bunch, but The Donald deserves a bit of analysis.

The Donald, when you come right down to it, is another in a long line of slightly rightist Progressives  (Think GWB, e.g.).  The clues are not subtle.  His entire opening gambit was "I'm rich!!!  I'm RICH!!!!"  He suddenly became pro-life, and suddenly became 'religious' (or at least, he spent some time with Protestant preachers.)  His disdain for property rights is clear.  In general, he's the "rock'n'roll" guy with a strong dose of sex on the side.  While it's not clear that he is as full-bore anti-religion as are Obozo and Hillary, he's certainly not guided by any deep-seated Judaeo-Christian values.

In the end, I think that support for The Donald will die off as the battle for The West increases in importance.  Much as some won't like it, Ted Cruz is going to be the beneficiary here, for almost all the right reasons.

Cop-Killing? Not So Much

Ticker ran the numbers.

The chart begins at A.D. 1900.  Note well that this chart is "ALL CAUSES" which includes on-duty traffic accidents, not just targeted/direct murders.

And if you think that the Prohibition-era numbers were bad, just wait until the Machine tries to outlaw guns.

Obozo to Shut Down the Military

The commander-in-chief of US armed forces will shut down the US military.

President Barack Obama vetoed a sweeping $612 billion defense policy bill Thursday in a rebuke to congressional Republicans, and insisted they send him a better version that doesn't tie his hands on some of his top priorities....

"Top priorities" means closing Gitmo, of course.  The rest of his blather is irrelevant.

When You Lose Mother Jones...

Judith Faulkner's crony-"capitalist" Epic Systems has lost the support of Mother Jones.

...even left-wing Mother Jones magazine reports this week that “instead of ushering in a new age of secure and easily accessible medical files, Epic has helped create a fragmented system that leaves doctors unable to trade information across practices or hospitals. That hurts patients who can’t be assured that their records — drug allergies, test results, X-rays — will be available to the doctors who need to see them. This is especially important for patients with lengthy and complicated health histories.”...

There's a large and growing cottage industry in Madistan consisting of ex-Epic employees who get top consulting dollars to fix the problems Epic causes.

So there's that, I guess.

Of course, those consulting dollars are charged, ultimately, to people who pay medical bills--and the taxpayers.

Good Question!!

Is there any doubt about the answer here?

...She didn’t “misspeak.” She didn’t make an honest mistake. She flouted the laws of this nation as regards national security and classified information–indisputably, with no margin for error or interpretation. She lied to the American people to manipulate an election–for partisan political purposes, as her supporters are so fond of complaining about. And she’s laughing up her sleeve at you right now, because she knows she still has a better than even-money chance at being president despite her high crimes and misdemeanors.

So just what, if anything, are you and the rest of the GOP clown act going to do about all that? I suspect we all already know the answer to that, but the question still must be asked....

Yah, go ahead, ask.

If you want the right answer, elect Cruz and hope he appoints Mark Levin as A.G.  Otherwise, she'll get her pension, offshore tax-haven moneys, and free healthcare for life.
