Trump was a Big Deal in NYC. He had Money and Influence.
Epstein was interested in peeps who had Money and Influence.
We're willing to bet that Money and Influence people show up in papers of top-tier crooks (think Gambino family or the Stern Gang, not Turdijah the dope-dealer) all the time. Why? The high-end crooks have an interest in Money and Influence.
Now, then. Is there a reason that the WSJ did not show you a copy of that "file"? Is there a reason that the WSJ did not allege criminal activity by Trump? Yup.

'Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump?' Epstein is asked by a lawyer representing an underaged victim.
'What do you mean by 'personal relationship,' sir?' he replies.
'Have you socialized with him?' the questioner continues.
'Yes, sir,' he admits.
'Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?' the lawyer persists.
'Though I'd like to answer that question, at least today I'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir,' he replies. ...
