The Cost of Sunshine and Windmills

Don't be fooled.  This rate increase is almost entirely the result of GreenGoddess-AlGore-Leftist energy policies, principally substituting very expensive (and not reliable) sun-catchers and windmills (and their battery backups) for coal and natural gas.

...The average residential WEPCO customer with an expected energy usage of 660 kilowatt-hours per month can expect a $7.62 increase on their monthly electric bill due to increased base rates beginning January 1, 2025 and a $9.73 increase beginning in January 1, 2026 (for a cumulative adjustment of $17.34 (or 12.38%) over the next two years)....

The "average" residential electricity customer?  They don't use air conditioning and certainly don't use electricity to heat their water.

WEPCO claims that the '26 increase will be used to cut down trees and dig deep trenches.  So when they finish cutting down trees and digging trenches, will that increase go away?

Wanna bet?
