Zelenskiy? He's History

Zelenskiy is the walking dead.  Naturally, the captive press frames it as a "Russian assassination".

But the CIA has guns, too.

...despite the reluctance to publicly engage with the question, there is a plan in place, according to interviews with Ukrainian officials and lawmakers as well as analysts. Indeed, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said as much: “The Ukrainians have plans in place — that I’m not going to talk about or get into any details on — to make sure that there is what we would call ‘continuity of government’ one way or another,” he told CBS news last year....--Politico, quoted at Vox

First question:  why did this news item appear today?  Yup.  That's the answer.

Anyway, the Ukrainian constitution specifies that the leader of Parliament takes over.

The only question is whether the CIA will give that guy advance notice.

Linking to Vox Day is never a good idea. Yes, Russia will try to assassinate Zelenskiy. But he is not going anywhere as the Ukrainian leader. They are a free people, a sovereign nation that makes their own decisions as who to align with.

And something for you to ponder.

Within the last 24 hours:

(1) Russia’s partner-in-war-crimes, Belarus, sent two military helicopters into Polish airspace in what NATO member Poland is now calling (quite correctly) called “a provocation.”

(2) A Russian drone strike “deliberately” targeted infrastructure on the Danube River—an attack so close to NATO member Romania that the leader of Romania publicly announced the attack as “unacceptable.”

So the warmongers in Moscow and Minsk, aided by GOP rhetoric, are so grotesquely, stupidly and viciously irresponsible that no one can doubt that if they drag NATO into the war in Ukraine in a direct way not only will they say they didn’t and immediately (falsely) claim this was what NATO always wanted anyway—when in fact it wants the opposite (Russia’s departure from Ukraine, followed by peace in the region)—but we can be sure the GOP would echo the Kremlin line and spread its vile disinformation.

"Aided by GOP rhetoric"???

Don't make it TOO obvious that you're a Democrat/Ukrainian operative, pal.

Poland is--against the will of its people--being "provocative." And Russia will never withdraw from Eastern Ukraine. You may not like it. But as an American, I don't really care.

The US does not have a vital national interest in that area.

Russia will try to assassinate Zelenskiy

Yup. And Zelenskiy will try to assassinate Putin.

So what?

As to the alleged incursion: it MAY be the case.

It may not.

Even Poland's getting tired of Ukraine's bullsh*t

“Ukraine should start appreciating what Poland is doing for it,”...“people want to see a bit of gratitude”, adding: “You know, we’re not Amazon.”

Welcome to the party...idiots. A little late, but welcome.
