McCain has been edging toward this epiphany for a while.
Here he quotes a graf from a HuffPo piece on a transsexual:
...Renton eventually was allowed to spend nights at home, but he claims he spent daytime hours when he should have been at school at the psychiatric facility. He was still forbidden from seeing friends, even the kids next door. Renton remembers his grandmother, Tania’s mom, telling him over and over that there was a war over his soul between angels and demons....
And McCain comments:
Consider this possibility: GRANDMA WAS RIGHT!
Stacy's column also quotes Fr. Gabriel Amorth, the top exorcist in the Church. Next, Stacy should go see Nefarious.
If you've paid attention to McCain's writings, you'll have noticed that he has a trademark take on various repeat criminals--that is, that "they are crazy."
"Crazy" is not always the explanation. That seems to have dawned on McCain recently.
Good.
