On Parents of Trans Kids

Didn't think of it this way, but an Irishwoman, Helen Joyce, did.

..."But the fact is that just simply by saying we will never accept natural males in women's spaces, well it is their son that we're talking about. And they've told their son that he can get himself sterilized and destroy his own basic sexual function and women will accept him as a woman. And if we don't, there's no way back for them and that child.

"They've sold their child a bill of goods that they can't deliver on."...

In that same AOSHQ column linked above, Joyce observed that "trans parents" totally destroy organizations of which they are members or in which they reside--whether clubs, neighborhoods, or school systems--because of their utter shame at what they did to their child.

We relocated within SE Wisconsin; before that relo, we were part of one of those 'neighborhood' on-line groups, and there was a woman in that group who "trans-ed" her son.  It wasn't hard to get perma-banned from that neighborhood group; all you had to do was tell the truth.

More and more, it's obvious that we must tell the truth, and tell it to their faces as kindly as possible; but do NOT pull punches.  The Republic can't take much more of living lies.
