There's a reason Tin-Pot Tony Evers hasn't opened his yapper about this: he hasn't been told what to say. And frankly, this tax cut is aimed directly at middle-class people.
...The Republican plan would lower one income tax bracket from 6.27% to 5.3%. That bracket applies to annual income of $24,000 to $263,000 for individuals and $32,000 to $351,000 for married couples.
Their plan also includes other, more targeted tax breaks, such as ones for active military service members and parents with children in daycare. In all, the changes to the income tax code would reduce state revenue by $2.75 billion over two years, according to the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
The Republican plan would reduce property taxes by about $650 million over two years.
To achieve that, the state would give schools and technical colleges more money and require them to make property tax cuts of equal amounts. That would allow them to provide the same services using state funds instead of property tax revenue. ...
If you make $12.00/hour, you'll earn $24,000 (++) in a year. And if you pay property tax (yes, you DO), you will see a reduction, albeit marginal. Don't hold your breath: the reduction only applies to school districts and tech-colleges. Your city, town, or village will find a way to raise THEIR taxes.
When Tin-Pot's Socialismo crowd figures out how to lie about this, you'll hear something. See my post below this to know when they're talking (and lying.)
