You've probably heard/seen it 56,449 times in the last 10 days. Michael Douglas voices it, and talks about how Bloomberg got fired, just like lots of other people.
Then Bloomberg had an idea, and started building computers for the investment banks, yadayada.
Heartwarming. The "real American go-getter entrepreneur" story.
There's something that Michael Douglas doesn't tell you, though.
When Bloomberg was canned from Saloman Brothers, he was given a $10 million payout.
TEN MILLION DOLLARS. He earned it, and deserves it....but that sorta changes the color of that story, doesn't it? It's not really "po' li'l Mike" any more, eh?
