So You Wanna Skip Out of Obozocare?

Nice little home you own there.  It would be too bad if anything happened to it.

Somebody managed to get through the exchange and sign up.  Then he was made aware:

“I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance.

I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly!  --quoted at Vox

What?  You mean a guy with $5200/month income before taxes can't afford ~$1700.00/month in medical expenses?

Well, then, give him an ObozoPhone to make up the difference!!

Look.  It's simple.  Since many people can't afford health insurance, you force them to buy it at about double the rate that they can't afford.

Volume keeps prices low, ya'know.

Here is the TRUTH about the nigger muslim statist despot-wannabe...and Vox is right: the system is breaking down exponentially:

...the implementation of OTraitorCare is going to be a whole lot more draconian than Americans have been led to believe...

...man who attempted to sign up...was threatened with drivers license being revoked, federal tax lien on home...

Excerpt:
"...if true, the implementation of Obamacare is going to be a whole lot more draconian than Americans have been led to believe.

I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a pre-existing condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually. The federal government has consistently denied that any fines pertaining to Obamacare non-compliance could be seized from bank accounts, despite reports last year that the IRS had hired 16,500 new agents to harass citizens who attempt to evade the new law.

The system is breaking down, and it appears to be breaking down increasingly fast...".

All you apatheticists out there better wake up to the TRUTH of what this is all about and what is REALLY going on here.

Autocratic oligarchial tyrannical authoritarianistic totalitarianistic despotic absolutism oppression enforced by tactical LEO facism...all financed by YOU!!!

It's an InfoWars scam from the word "go".

That's all I have to say about it.

Yah, InfoWars has the same credibility as...well....

How-some-ever: I used the Kaiser Family calculator to get numbers on my family's coverage/costs.

Picked the "silver plan."

Post-subsidy premium: about 9.5% of gross income, $2K annual deductible, 80/20 co-pay afterwards.

Not particularly attractive.

As to "refuse-nik" treatment: it's no stretch to assume that IRS will attach assets to recover fines/penalties. Going for the house? Maybe--but they'd rather garnish wages, so attaching the house is likely last move. However, IRS could well advise that such is possible.

Forgot to mention there's no 'stop-loss' on that 80/20 copay.

Total horse shit. The maximum fine in year 1 is $285 for a family. Even at 1% of income it would be $550.

Furthermore, there are no such enforcement features in the law.

Total horse shit.

Yes, the law is total horse shit.

Once the ACA is fully implemented, the frightwing lies will become a historical footnote we can all have a good chuckle over. Just listen as dud29 trots out his phony examples of exploding costs as if folks who already have coverage will be forced into the system set up to cover the uninsured.

Nice try - keep diggin' old boy.
