Insight on "Taxes"

Here's a phrase which resonates:

Joseph J. Thorndike, director of the Tax History Project at the nonprofit group Tax Analysts [said] "The sort of value proposition of a tax has been destroyed..."

Well, mostly. It may be more precise to state that the value proposition of sending good money into the Federal piss-it-away machine has become clear.

There ain't no "value" there.

Steyn makes the point, in an essay remarking on Our Government(s) vis-a-vis News of the World (!)

...as it turns out, these high-up gun-traffickers were already known to other agencies — FBI, DEA, and other big-spending acronyms in the great fetid ooze of federal alphabet soup in which this republic is drowning.

Tell us again about the "value proposition."
