This Is What Is Called "Leadership"

We all know why Obozo is hiding on the budget issues: he wants the Republicans to lead so that he can beat them to death on the Campaign Trail.

Tough.

Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., unveiled today his five-year path to a balanced budget, leaving several federal agencies behind. Among the items on the cutting room floor are the Departments of Education, Energy, Commerce and Housing and Urban Development.

...According to Paul, a Tea Party conservative, the proposal will bring spending to the “historic average since World War II” in just one year. He further claims the budget achieves a $19 billion surplus by FY2016 and will bring all non-military discretionary spending back to FY2008 levels.

As AOSHQ observes, there's still a need for Ryan's Roadmap; entitlements will eat the budget alive no matter the elimination of elephantine tin-lizzie Departments of Auto-Reproductive Bureacracy.

They were elected to lead. The fact they're incapable of reaching agreement among themselves is more evidence they're unfit to govern. Watching Boehner herd cats in the House is enough to make ME cry.
