Chicago's Guy Shoulda Sung It

While one notes that Ms. Aguilera recovered extremely well from her textual flub-a-dub....(was GWBush giggling?)

Frankly, I'm tired of listening to singers who personalize the National Anthem. It's not THEIR anthem to screw around with. It's the country's anthem.

Don't mess with it.

That Chicago guy--the one from the Blackhawks--shoulda sung it.

Great voice, great delivery, straight-up with the music, and he actually knows the text.

What? No commentary on the Black Eyed Peas?

Couldn't agree more, Dad.

It always bugs me when we get some 'celebrity' turning the National Anthem into a personalized solo performance. Have someone sing it properly and let everyone join in! That is more natural and has a greater impact than someone tooting their own horn.

Aguilara sucked, the Black Eyed Peas sucked.

And...

Bart Starr should have presented the trophy instead of Staubach too!

But it is a sweet victory anyway :-)

Agreed Neomom, regarding Staubach. But this was probably a sop to Jerry Jones, seeing as the Cowboys didn't get a look in otherwise....:)

Rotate the various armed services bands (Air Force Band, Army Band, etc.) with a sing-along.
