EPA has backed off on the boiler-regulation scheme they hatched.
Some Wisconsin lawmakers are welcoming the EPA’s caution. The agency, Wisconsin senator Herb Kohl said in a statement, “has admitted that their efforts to date were made without all the information they needed … the EPA needs to carefully consider the full range of information before making final decisions.”
In September, Kohl, a Democrat, was one of 41 senators who signed a bipartisan letter calling on the EPA to soften the proposed rules it issued in April – before issuing final rules in January 2011, the deadline ordered in the case brought by the Sierra Club.
By the way, in the spirit of Democrat comity:F*&^ the Sierra Club!
